Rezumat:  Typically we think of positive emotions as simple markers of well-being. Moments in which people are feeling positive emotions such as joy, serenity, awe, and love are moments unplagued by negative emotions such as fear, anxiety, and depression. Reflecting this intuition, researchers have found that the overall balance of people’s positive to negative emotions predicts their subjective well-being. Positive emotions also produce health and well-being, and they do so not simply within the present, pleasant moment, but over the long term as well. This paper deals with the question of how reflection of practitioners can be deepened and used for actualizing positive emotions. By using the so-called ‘onion model’, we present a shift in the content of reflection from the past to the ideal future, the focus on presence and mindfulness and also a method of actualizing personal qualities and focusing to positive emotions. We try to point out that by using this kind of reflection we also contribute to people’s health and well-being.

Keywords: reflection, positive emotions, health, well-being.
