Rezumat:   The Apostles and the Mission of the Seventy(two) Disciples. Jesus called the apostles and he promised them that he would make to become fishers of men. He starts to keep his promise when he first sends them out. During his service, he was moved with compassion for the people who were weary and like sheep not having a shepherd. Therefore, he sends his disciples to harvest. The way he carried out his ministry of preaching and healing with the authority received from God he sends his disciples to drive out demons and to heal diseases giving them the same authority and power. Jesus tells the disciples sent out at what kind of people they should stay overnight or what to do in case they are refused. In Mk 6,10 he instructs the apostles to accept what they are offered first and not to seek for better places. Matthew is the only one who mentions that they should stop at houses whose people are worthy of it. Whether the house is worthy or not, they can decide from their answer to the preaching. In Lk 10,5-9 we can read the instructions that regard greeting, feeding, as well as healing and preaching. In case they are refused they should shake the dust off their feet. This symbolic gesture refers to three facts. Firstly, to the custom of the Jews who return to their country and who shook the unclean dust of foreign countries off their feet. Secondly, to the judgement that the town or village that rejected them was no longer considered part of the chosen nation. Thirdly, it referred to the urgency and the utmost importance of repentance.
