Rezumat:  The acceptance and the refusal of the decisions of the Council of Ferrara/ Florenz (1438/ 39). The union between the Latin and the Greek Churches, which was decreed by the Concil of Ferrara/ Florence, has been pushed aside by Greeks and Latins after the conquest of Constantinople. But in spite of this in the 16th and 17th centuries there were made two posthume attempts to realise the union. The details of these attempts help to understand better the devellopment of theological teaching in our churches. They demonstrate that the Latin Church only exceptionally accepted the theological results of the Council of Ferrara/ Florence, in spite of the fact, that she considers it to be an ecumenical one, whilst for two centuries a majority of leading hierarchs and theologians of the Greek Church accepted the theological teachings of the council, without considering it to be ecumenical. Acceptance or rejection of the ecumenical character of a given council does not yet mean, that the coucil''s teaching is accepted or rejected by our churches. The history of both posthume attempts to realise the union of Ferrara/ Florence is given in the article.
