  Rezumat:  Critical Geosites: Landslides Areas-Rural Settlements. The critical geosites are counpoun geographical structures (natural-antropic) which resulted after a process caused on a decisional way (individual, group decisions). Two cases were studied: the Urmeniş geosite, situated in the center of the Transylvania Plain, the Comlod hydrographic basin and the Pogăceaua geosite situated in the Văleni hydrographic basin. Due to the relief conditions and favorable lithological constitution, the landslides areas have a large surface in both cases. These influenced the structure and shape of human settlements and the evolution way of the village and the agricultural use of the lands.
