  Rezumat:  Numerical Evolution of the Population from the North-Western Region in the 20th Century. The North-Western region, taken as a whole, is to be noticed a positive numerical evolution of the population, excepting the interval that followed after 1990, when decreasing of the population is to be observed. The situation lightly shaded at the level of region`s counties (Bihor, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Cluj, Maramureş, Stau Mare and Sălaj), however, on the whole region. Without any exception an increase of the population, is to be observed in all counties, for the whole period, but also its regressive evolution in the post-communist period.
