  Rezumat:  Statistical Information for Helping the Local and Regional Development. The article spotlights the statistical information regarding the local and regional development. In the light of the current statistical data it is not possible to obtain very good information about "the cells of territories", which are the settlements, at the administrative territorial units (national, on counties and communes). The study promotes the change of the actual statistical system, that must become more operative at the level of settlements. On the other hand, the study displays a model of indicators which establish the anthropical risk at the regional level.
