  Rezumat:  The Land of Chioar – The Individualisation Premisses as a Geographic System in the 18th and 20th Century. In analysing “the land of Chioar” as a hierarchic geographic system, in the base of “centre-purlieus” principle, we will aim at, thanks to the determinative rol, the following complex of relational elements: the development of the boundling “town-village”; the evolution of the demographic factor in the fortification and organisation the setlement network; the part of the dynamic and demografic increase and the impact of the Baia Mare city in the functional organization; of the Chiorean rural space. The synergic action of these elements is materilized for Chioar in a new geographic state, that of an open, subsystem, socially and economicaly polarized.
