Archetypical Analysis of Sacral Portrayals Women’s Personality Development According to the Early Hungarian Sacral Portrayals’ Guidance. In my thesis I have studied Hungarian sacral art works from a special viewpoint: how the chosen sacred portrayals affect the viewer.I mainly examine works which show women in the context of their lives. From my point of view, initiation is the only possible way for women to grow into their mission in life and mature through the different stages of their personal development.The initiation is a process with some outstanding stages, which have been the places for transmitting life-experiences of women from generation to generation. According to my hypothesis sacred portrayals might be means of initiation, and the process of initiation is realized by contemplating them, familiarizing oneself with archetypes, and taking part in the sacred acts.The first important aspect of my thesis is: to analyze the mode of expression of these sacred works. The second aspect is to determine what is transmitted by initiation, the content of women’s initiation.
