  Rezumat:  The Involvement of the Greek-Catholic Ecclesiastical Institution from Oradea in Social and Economical Activities. The author points out that the Greek-Catholic ecclesiastical institution from Oradea made great efforts for the improvement of the material situation of the Romanians and for the developement of healthy morality based on christian virtues. It also supported the measures taken by political authorities in order to help the inhabitants to practice certain occupations for the growth of their income such as: fruit growing, sericulture and apiculture.The Greek-Catholic church was involved in fighting against the alcoholism and in liquidation of the consequences of natural disasters such as: drought, inundation or fire.Most of the information used by the author in this work are unpublished, extracted from unexamined archives.
