  Rezumat:  The Geo Josz Testimony: The Reading of Giorgio Bassani Tombstone on Via Mazzini. It’s been ten years since April 2000 when Giorgio Bassani “è andato là donde non si torna”. Close to this anniversary, it seemed opportune to pay tribute to this great writer of the Italian literature, presenting his real masterpiece: Una lapide in via Mazzini. This work unifies in itself the essence of the Bassani’s narration to the real and fictional Ferrara, the time after the war with profound roots in the interwar period with the racial law, the image of the lost Hebrew, the solitude and the tragic. The story was published in 1952, but it was republished in his final form only in 1980.
