  Rezumat:  A first attempt is presented to adopt the spring-block model of single-lane highway traffic to multi-lane traffic conditions. Simulations on this extended model are performed, and by some case studies the effects of the lane changing behavior on the model system’s dynamics are analyzed. Based on this first results, proposal for further investigations are made.
