  Rezumat:  The contemporary interpretation of S.Beckett’s theatre against post- or neo-structuralist critical-theory not only highlights the ontological dimension of his work and him being the last Modernist (through the philosophical formulae and the value of the communicative act challenged by the imagined ‘poetic structures’). It rather extends the meaning and significance of his work beyond the mere illustration of an existentialist point-of-view so characteristic for the age of his plays or an avant-gardist for that matter.
