  Rezumat:  The volume represents the 23rd issue from the series of Catalogus Fossilium Austriae, in the frame of the project of the Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften, which begun in 1965. Being “Ein Systematisches Verzeichnis aller auf österreichischem Gebiet festgestellten Fossilien”, it provides full information on the Neogene families: Nuculidae, Nuculanidae, Solemyidae, Arcidae, Noetiidae, Limopsidae, Glycymerididae, Manzanellidae, Mytilidae, Pinnidae, Pteriidae, Isognomonidae, Pectinidae, Plicatulidae, Spondylidae, Anomiidae, Limidae, Gryphaeidae, Ostreidae, Margaritiferidae and Unionidae. This first volume of Bivalvia neogenica contains about 300 taxa and follows the systematic of Cox et al., 1969 and 1971.
