  Rezumat:  Geodemographical Component and its Role in the Development of the Microregion Tăşnad, Satu Mare County, North-Western Region. Tăşnad microregion was the subject of a study, as a part of a PHARE project, in which the geographical component was imposed through a detailed analysis of all the constitutive elements extended upon the town of Tăşnad and also upon the five coterminous communes. The geodemographic component is imposed through its dimension, quality and structure and it brings its differentiated contribution to the development of all the activity`s domains. Among these, the primary sector is to be noticed, with a complex structure, in accordance with the morpho-pedoclimatical conditions and related to the characteristics of traditional intensively, due to a multiethnical community, that is displaying today a visible tendency of ageing and it is affected by the emigrational phenomenon. At these aspects, there are to be added the development and the maintenance of some occupational categories, perpetuating activities from the secondary traditional sector for Tăşnad and from the tertiary one - from the balneoturistic field.
