Rezumat:  Mass communication appeared in Europe at the end of the 15-th century and beginning of the 16-th century as a consequence of processes specific of modernity and the creation of institutions busy to make profits out of the exchange of symbolic forms, which travelled in larger spaces a longer time. The political units of Mediaeval Europe had been gradually reduced entering in a system of interference between state-nations, each claiming sovereignty upon a given territory. Changes within the social organization of the symbolic power are also to be considered together with the 16-th century spread of Protestantism, since the fragmentation of religious power was followed by an increased number of ways of knowledge and learning once the industry of printing was installed. Regular mail and printing services to spread the news deeply affected communication nets at the dawn of modern Europe. Anyway, the weekly appearance /printing/ of newspapers in the second half of the 16-th century considerably changed the bourgeois life style.
