  Rezumat:  The separation of flocculated caolin-water-suspensions on the sedimentation process was examined using a simple test laboratory device. The sedimentation behaviour, the optimal conditions of the flocculation, the settling rate of the flocculated network or the bulk and the kinetic evolution of flocculated caolin-water-suspension during the sedimentation prosses were determined by representative methods. The measurements were based on the determination of the temporal variation of the local position of the interface particle free fluid/ flocculated suspension in tubes with constant cross section.
