  Rezumat:  Research on the Faecaloid Pollution of the the Someş River Water. The study, which started in the spring 2000 and ended in the spring 2003, was focussed on the water at the confluence of Someş and Lăpuş rivers. Three sampling sites were chosen: the first one was on the Lăpuş River right under the pollution point at Bozânţa Mare; the second one was on the Someş River, at Buzeşti, before the confluence with the Lăpuş River and the last one is situated at Pomi, on the Someş River but after the confluence with the Lăpuş River. The presence in high number of the total coliform bacteria indicates a high degree of water pollution at Bozânţa Mare and Buzeşti. At Pomi the water is relatively clean. A high number of faecal coliform enterococci indicates a high pollution degree of the water. The low number of coliform bacteria recorded at Pomi is associated with the relatively low number of the faecal enterococci.
