Rezumat: VIEW PDF: MICROWAVES IRRADIATION EXPERIMENTS ON BIOLOGICAL SAMPLES The goal of the present study was to investigate the effects of low power microwave irradiation, at 2.45 GHz, on plant samples. We choose the microwave power level used in wireless LAN communications between a wireless LAN Router and a local PC laptop. With this power level plants samples have been irradiated in specific experimental conditions. The irradiated plants were compared with non-treated plants. Reference and irradiated plants were phenotypically similar, but the growth was strongly correlated with microwave irradiation. The protein metabolism was activated under microwave irradiation, demonstrated by higher values of total soluble protein content in irradiated plants.
