STUDIA THEOLOGIA GRAECO-CATHOLICA VARADIENSIS

HISTORY OF STUDIA THEOLOGIA GRAECO-CATHOLICA VARADIENSIS

Studia Universitatis Babes-Bolyai Theologia Graeco-Catholica Varadiensis appears in 1999 as a publication of the Department of Oradea of the Faculty of Greek Catholic Theology at the Babes-Bolyai University. From this year the journal has published regularly, with two numbers each year (June and December), and tries to respond to the contemporary challenges of the theological, historical and philosophical world. Exploitation of the sources, a profound analysis of the disputed questions and the scientific rigor have guided the preoccupations of the authors to a novel opening. To overcome the serious handicap caused by totalitarianism, with the effects will being felt for a long time, the editorial board had into consideration the promotion of the young researchers with training stages abroad. So, the journal provides space for assertion to young people willing to publish results of their research.

Regarding the quality, the journal has followed an ascendant slope, which is evidenced by the increased number of foreign collaborators, foreign distribution but also the publication of articles in languages of international circulation. In the pages of the journal had also published the Romanian authors well-known in their research field. We mention here: professor Vasile Muscă, professor Corneliu Crăciun or professor Blaga Mihoc.
