Submission:

Articles should be submitted to the editor-in-chief, Dávid Diósi, david.diosi@ubbcluj.ro, following the Guidelines.

Only original contributions are accepted. The journal does not republish previously published articles and does not accept manuscripts already submitted elsewhere for reviewing. Conference papers should be revised before submission.

Following peer-reviewing, the editorial board rejects papers that do not match scholarly standards for academic publications. Authors are informed about the acceptance, conditional acceptance, or rejection of the paper, within one month. Conditional acceptance requires considering the suggestions made by the reviewers and revising the paper accordingly. Notwithstanding peer-reviewing, the authors are entirely responsible for the content of their paper and any breach of academic integrity.

The journal owns the copyright of the published paper. Subsequent reprinting of the article or parts of it is subject to the approval of the editors.

The journal is published bi-annually in June and December.

Fighting plagiarism and other forms of academic fraud:

Studia Universitatis Babeș-Bolyai takes seriously the prevention of plagiarism and other forms of academic misconduct including but not limited to the fabrication and/or falsification of data. Authors should be aware that:

- All essays are checked by a soft meant to verify plagiarism.

- Plagiarism or other forms of academic fraud discovered and documented during the reviewing process result in the rejection of the manuscript. The editors will notify the higher education or research institution to which the author is affiliated, and bring the attempt of academic fraud to the attention of the scholarly community and of public opinion.

- Upon information on allegations of plagiarism or other forms of academic fraud following the publication of an article, any article that has been already published in Studia Universitatis Babeș-Bolyai, following the thorough verification of the notification, the Editors may take the following steps: a) contact the Index of allegations of plagiarized works in Romania; b) follow the procedure in place for plagiarism or other forms of academic fraud discovered and documented during the review process, discussed above; c) officially inform the higher education or research institution to which the author is affiliated, making available all necessary documents (including the author’s responsible declaration of originality); d) advise the most important international databases about the allegation of plagiarism; and e) publish (on the site, etc.) the official position on the matter.
