AIMS AND SCOPE

Studia Universitatis Babeș-Bolyai Ambientum, journal of the Faculty of Environmental Science and Engineering, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, is a semesterly publication (June and December), indexed in the international databases and devoted to promote a high level of academic research on innovative subjects and emergent topics in environmental science.

The main intended objective is the creation and sustaining for a broad space of reflection and research on the environment. Are invited to engage in the debate and confrontation by opinions teachers, theoreticians in the field of environmental science, researchers and students.

All articles have been published in English and, since 2011, access has been provided through EBSCO as well. The manuscripts submitted to the editorial board pass through a double-blind review process, and the authors benefit from the feedback of two anonymous advisers, most often one from a Romanian university and the other from abroad.

Since it was first issued in 2007, the journal evolved to an international reach. Thus, it created a network of researchers from prestigious universities which enables its members to share and disseminate their research concerning current subjects and international themes.

The aim of the journal is to encourage original contributions in environmental science and management, environmental engineering, environmental risk assessment, and related fields.

We strive towards a number of goals, of which we hereby mention the most important:

  • To establish a platform for academic debates of the highest standard, involving researchers from Romanian universities alongside reputable academics from abroad;
  • To promote Romanian research in English and to increase its impact on the field;
  • To approach research subjects which are currently relevant, as well as extremely rich and stimulating from a scientific viewpoint.
