BIBLICAL AND PATRISTIC FOUNDATION AND LITURGICAL AND CONTEMPORARY DIMENSION OF DOGMATIC THEOLOGY. Authors: VALER BEL. |
||||||
Abstract: Biblical and Patristic Foundation and Liturgical and Contemporary Dimension of Dogmatic Theology. The Dogmatic Theology must have a precise biblical foundation, especially from the New Testament, because the Holly Scripture is the genuine testimony about the salvation in Jesus Christ and it is written under the Holly Spirit inspiration. The biblical foundation prevents the heterodox speculations, incongruous with the divine Revelation. At the same time, the Dogmatic Theology must have a strong base in the ecumenical synods resolutions, in the theology of the Holly Fathers who explained and had a profound understanding of the Christian faith. The ecumenical synods have the mission to confess the faith, while the theologians and the Fathers of the Church deal with the explanation and the argumentation of the Christian belief. The Holly Tradition is a warrant for the integral transmission of the Christian faith and living in Christ life. The Dogmatic Theology has also a liturgical dimension because especially in the Holly Liturgy and in the divine service, generally speaking, the community of the Church confesses and lives the faith, providing in that way the ecclesiological foundation for it. In the same time, the liturgical doxology remains the most alive and authentic expression of the apostolic and patristic Tradition. The Dogmatic Theology must put the Christian belief in direct connection with the deeper aspiration of humankind and with the major theme of the contemporary world, in order to make the word or God accessible and to promote the mission of the Church.
