Abstract:  The study examines the manifestation of the risen Lord to the disciples on the evening of the Resurrection. What is emphasized, in particular, is the sacramental dimension of the episode, given that the climax is the communion of the Holy Spirit to the disciples and the grant of full power to forgive sins. From the perspective of Orthodox theology, the revelation of the risen Jesus to "The Ten", the evening of the resurrection, coincides with the establishment of two sacraments of the Church: Penance and Priesthood. The words of Jesus addressed his disciples: "As my Father sent me, I send I you. And with that He breathed on them and said to them: Receive the Holy Ghost, whose sins you forgive they are forgiven them and that you retain will be kept" (In. 20 :21-23), define the moment in which sacaramental life of the Christian Church was born. So, for theology strongly influenced by the mysterious presence of Christ in the liturgical life of the Christians, as all the mysteries are celebrated by a priest, the sacramental dimension of life of the Church was born on the day of Resurrection. The Holy Spirit, who works in the Holy Sacraments of the Church is none other than the " Paschal Spirit " shared directly by the risen Lord. Therefore, resurrection is a "transformation" of the prepaschal work of Christ in a real and sacramental work of the risen Jesus on the Christian community, through the Holy Spirit present in a sacramental church treasury. What happened on the evening of the Resurrection, as described the evangelist John, marks, among others, two aspects of the paschal event consequences: the reality of the penetration of Jesus, with the body through the locked doors, which means a new condition of the matter of his body after the Resurrection, and thus the mark of a new creation, born on the day of the Resurrection in the new condition and power of the Risen One; changing the condition of the Apostles, from "called" into "sent" by their filling with the Holy Spirit.
