Abstract: Sacramental priesthood and common priesthood at Father Isidor Todoran. Priesthood represents a central point which concentrates and implies the main chapters of Dogmatic Theology: christology, soteriology, ecclesiology. From the very beginning Church is composed by clergy and faithfuls, this having precise functions and roles. Through the Mistery of Ordainment is given the grace of priest’s service, which is essential and fundamental for the Church.The hierarchy has an important and irreducible role in the life of Church. The laymen are a constitutive element, an active and responsible factor of Church. In Orthodoxy, common priesthood are not a formula without sense. Special priesthood and the common one - the place and the role of which can not be minimized in the frame of the ecclesial Body – no exclude one each other, are not ontological different, but they are complementary, even dependent one of other. The kingly priesthood of the people of God can carries out its missionary vocation merely through the sacramental, charismatic priesthood. | |||||||
