Benchmarks of Gnosticism. This text aims to be a philosophical variant for the introduction to the study of the phenomenon known as Gnosticism. Obviously, this study is not intended to contain and / or to highlight everything that is essential and / or important in the complex problem of Gnosticism. The starting point, the basis of the incursions in this field, and the hermeneutic filter of our research will be mainly the studies of I.P. Culianu in this field. Can the authentic interest in knowledge ignore Gnosticism? What is the origin of this phenomenon and how has it been interpreted? The study looks for some answers to these questions.
