  Abstract:  Articolul descrie itinerariul teologiei de la o formalitate preconciliară, la o teologie postconciliară, scoţând în evidenţă motivul acestei tranziţii. Conciliul Vatican II a constituit un punct de cotitură pentru teologie deoarece a schimbat inţelegerea revelaţiei, privind-o dintr-o perspectivă istorică şi aplicand această perspectivă teologiei. In acest mod a avut loc trecerea de la o teologie existenţialistă (care corespunde unei viziuni existenţialiste asupra credinţei, revelaţiei şi analizei adevărului) la o teologie structurată pe istorie (care corespunde înţelegerii credinţei, revelaţiei şi adevărului în schimbarea lor istorică, ele fiind noţiuni fundamentale ale teologiei).
