  Abstract:  Der vorliegende Artikel bezieht sich auf eine wichtige Station der mystischen Theologie der katholischen Kirche. Aus der reichen mystischen Literatur des Abendlandes wählt den Opus des Hl. Johannes vom Kreuz aus, um aus dessem Werk: Notte oscura den erläuternden Weg, der zu Gott führt, im Detaille zu analysieren. Den für die Menschen sich stellenden inneren Weg, der den sich öffnenden Gottes zeigt, betrachtet der Mystiker als eine Art Auf-Probe-Stellung. Der Autor des Artikels zeigt auf literarische Paralellstellen aus der mystischen Theologie der katholischen Kirche.
