  Abstract:  The perovskite oxide Pb(V1-xMx)O3 (M=Ti,Fe and x=0.00;0.25) was synthesised by solid state reaction under high pressure – high temperature conditions. Using Raman scattering spectroscopy, single phase formation of PVO (x=0.00) with the shift of phonon modes was confirmed. Raman spectroscopy was used as a local probe sensitive to even subtle changes of symmetry after the partial substitution of V with x=0.25 Ti and Fe.
