ABSTRACT. The journalistic text. Theoretical background. The aim of this paper is to outline the appropriate theoretical background for the analysis of the journalistic text. The problematic aspects of our analysis refer to linguistic research closely related to textual theories, to the study of linguistic phenomena beyond the phrasal level, more precisely the trans-phrasal level. From this point of view, our contribution is made out of an introduction chapter discussing upon the concepts of “text” and “textual nuances”, according to certain textual theories. The theoretical background represents the foundation for creating the means of defining, deconstruction and reconstruction of significant analysis sequences, at the level of journalistic text.
