  Abstract:  Computer software is a collection of items and materials associated with the development and operation of a computer program, but which does not include computer hardware. The items which become a part and parcel of computer program can be termed as elements of a computer program. There are, technically, many kinds of elements in a computer program which form the part of the program. Thus, computer software can be regarded as a diverse phenomenon.
