Abstract:  Some Aspects of the Evolution of the Road and Railway Network on the Territory of Braşov Town, after World War II – The action went on according to the urban development, the networks being constantly adapted to the evolution of the town’s functional areas. Concomitant they influenced its modality of territorial extension, the star type extension along the thoroughfares, followed by the filling of the internal areas, being a characteristic of Braşov. Although the transports and the communications were some of the main elements that favored the town’s development, on the background of its geographical position, this would not have been possible without their continuous adaptation to the new technologies. By flexibility, fastness and a better penetration in the territory, the road transportation means imposed against the railway ones, also avoided because of some problems tight to the chemical and phonic pollution, to the circulation safety or to the urbanism principles. Today the train is used almost exclusively for transporting certain merchandises from exterior to the gates of the town, the Braşov-Triaj rail station, and opposite.
