  Abstract:  Perception of Flood Induced Risk. The Results of a Social Poll in Northern Transylvanian Plain. This work was elaborated using the information resulted from the interrogation of 160, who have the homes situated in zones with different degrees of exposure at floods. There were 17 questions structured on many aspects referring to identification dates; the level of experience, knowledge and information; the perception of causes which generate and increase the floods; the perception of authorities implication in the prevention of floods and minimize of the damages, disposability for voluntariate, the level of the individual assurance and the supports allowed in case of floods. Because the hazards perception is a complex process, which forms at the convergence of several factors, in the study of interviewed persons declaration it was taking in consideration the period of living into a certain environment, the location of the houses and of the agricultural lands, experience, age, sex, level of education, income etc.
