  Abstract:  The main objective of the study is to analyze the administrative-territorial reform which took place in 2013, on the basis of the major proposals and measures, furthermore to evaluate the results so far. The political parties, the institutions, and finally, the Government’s position suggest that there is no minimal consensus regarding the regionalization of the Romanian society, but because of other causes such as: constitutional concerns, the opposition of the local elites of the ruling parties it was also removed from the agenda.
