ONLINE JOURNALISM – A NEW CHALLANGER IN THE MEDIA ARENA. Authors: NICOLAE URS. |
||||||
Abstract: The latest new-comer on the media arena, online journalism, has the potential to revolutionize the relation between media consumers and information. The over-abundance of information is changing the strategies required for obtaining high quality news and analysis. The line between professional journalism and amateur efforts is getting more blurry all the time, both in the quality of information and in the swiftness of reaction. Is citizen journalism the future? Are bloggers the next trend-setters? Will we need to pay for information? Is printed press on the downhill to extinction? These are interesting questions that I will try to answer in this series of papers. Keywords: Online Journalism, Internet, Blog, Citizen Journalism |
