Abstract:  Early Intervention for Visually Impaired Infants, Todllers and Preeschoolers Gross Motor Development. Young children who are blind or low vision have the same potential to learn how to move about safely and efficiently in their environment as do children with sight. However, becouse vision plays a big role in this developmental proces, delays can occur in certain areas such as crawling and walking. Therefore, the young child with vision loss will need additional help and patience from caregivers in this area of development.
