Abstract:  School as a Factor in the Development of the Students, Physical Capacity. The process of growth and harmonious physical development of the students constitutes itself in a complex and dynamic desideratum, for which, school has an essential role. A series of internal factors (e.g. heredity) and external ones (e.g. the conditions of the individual´ s life, the environment, the alimentation, the educational conditions and the stress the human organism undergoes) determines this growth and development. But, besides the role of the internal and external factors, this growth and physical development are also influenced by the activities of movement (the physical exercise). The physical exercise develops the components of the locomotors apparatus and stimulates breathing and blood circulation. There two school subjects that can contribute to the achievement of this desideratum: Physical Education (during classes or contests) and Geography (during the field classes – sight-seeing, visits, trips), having a complementary role to the first one (Sport). The purpose of this paper is to highlight the promotion of the above-mentioned school subjects´ dualism and to emphasize its role in the students´ physical development.
