  Abstract:  Organized mainly in three forms, namely sports for all people, amateur sports and professional sports, sports activity has imposed itself as an important part of social life. In order tu carry on this activity, private sports organizations have to get by their own means material goods or financial means other than those from their own activity or, if need be, from budgetary execution. The efficient material support of the activity we refer to implies a different approach to the issue of financing, from the point of view of sports management and marketing. In this context, sponsorship may become an important support of sports activities, first of all a financial one, but only to the extent to which the provisions of the authoritative acts that regulate it are known
