Abstract: New phenothiazinyl-diphenyl-phosphine derivatives were prepared based on a synthetic strategy which imply two reaction steps: a lithiation of phenothiazine derivative followed by the reaction of the C-lithiated intermediate with 1 equivalent of chlorodiphenylphosphine. Sulfonation with chlorosulfonic acid or sulfuric acid gave water soluble phenothiazinyl-phosphine ligands. Structural characterization of the new compounds is based on high resolution 1H-, 13C-, 31P-NMR spectroscopy, FT-IR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. Keywords: Phenothiazine, triphenylphosphine (TPP), arylsulfonic acid |
