Abstract:  The village of Klopotiva in Hunyad county lies south-west from Hátszeg. The present study tries to present in the Klopotiva congregations remaining Goldsmiths: one 17th century tankard, two dishes and one 18th chalice. This pieces are stem from Transylvanian workshops, one dish and the chalice is the Burkhardt Wilhelm Patzoff goldsmiths work, who became master in Nagyszeben in 1764 and is mentioned in the guild books until 1780. The manufacturer of the other works is unknown. These Goldsmiths are decorated with flower ornaments, engraved inscriptions and family crests. As expression of a flowering, artistical trade we can find numerous Goldshmits in ecclesiastical inventories.
