Abstract:   Th e first part of the paper studies the way of the supervision supporting method along the presence of Christian values collecting the insights around issues like attention, presence, questioning, the exercise of authority, asceticism, parallel events, and interpreting them as the emergence of the transcendent during the supervision process. After these, the study comes to the examination of two dialogues from the Gospel of John ( John 4:1–42 and John 3:1–21), especially the case of the Samaritan woman. After giving an overview of the interpretations of the text, the paper studies the correspondences between the text of the dialogue and the characteristics of the supervision method. The result of the study implies that there are at least ten elements to discover in the dialogue between Jesus and the woman that correspond to the characteristics of the supervision method.

Key words: supervision, hypothesis, authority, reflection, spirituality, confrontation, intervention, synchronicity.
