  Abstract:  Gheorghe Dima wurde 1847 in Braşov/ Kronstadt geboren. Neben Iacob Mureşianu (1857-1917), Augustin Bena (1880-1962) und Francisc Hubic (1883-1947) ist einer der wichtigsten Komponisten aus Siebenbürgen. Er hat am Leipziger Konservatorium studiert. Er hatte als Professoren die berühmten Musikwissenschaftler, wieŞ Stefred Richter, S. Jadasohr, Fr. Rebling, K.H. Reineke und I. Weidenbach. Gh. Dima war Musiklehrer in Kronstadt, Hermanstadt und Klausenburg. In Klausenburg hatte er die Hochmusikschuhle (die heutige Musik akademie), die heute sein Name trägt, gegründet. Er hat Kirchliche choralische Musik sowie Volksfümliche Lieder komponiert. Sein Stil ist von der deutsche Musik geprägt (von allen in die chorstüke), was sehr deutlich in seine Begräbnisstüke sichtbar ist. Gh. Dima ist 1925 gestorben und in Klausenburg begraben.
