Abstract:  Gianni Vattimo. Nihilism and Postmodern in Philosophy. The problem of being in the post-industrial era is a central theme in the work of the Italian philosopher Gianni Vattimo. Using the conceptual binomial, belonging to the Heidegger Überwindung-Verwingung, the representative of the lean thinking is trying a clarification of the report modern – postmodern in philosophy, as well as legitimating from the philosophical point of view the concept in the postmodern philosophy. From the perspective of the Italian thinker, the first philosopher who identified in the Überwindung concept the essence of the modern philosophy is Friedrich Nietzsche (modernity as time to overcome). In philosophy, leaving modernity starts with the dissolution of the basis (Grund). The German philosopher Martin Heidegger says that it is undeniable that is over with Nietzsche a series of philosophy (metaphysics) in which knowledge is identified with knowing the basis (Aristotle). In the same time, the author of Sein und Zeit considers that Nietzsche, with all his nihilistic momentum, is not outside this philosophical series, but he rather perfects the metaphysical thinking. Gianni Vattimo doesn’t entirely agree the thesis of Heidegger. The philosophy of Nietzsche not only perfects the metaphysical thinking, but also represents the entering in post modernity.
