  Abstract:  The Definition of the Christian Family in the Documents of the Second Council of Vatican. In the middle of the confusion that reigns in the Western world regarding the essence of the family concept, this article tries to present a definition of the Christian family, as it appears in the Magisterial learning of the Catholic Church, particularly in the documents of the Second Council of Vatican. This study suggests a deepening of this theme, such a troublemaker theme in the present days and, also desires to awake in the nowadays Christians a question: how many of the so-declared Christian families really know what they are and what a Christian family involves?
