  Article:   ESCAPES OF GERMAN SOLDIERS IN ROMANIA (1944-1946).

  Abstract:  The change of politics towards Germany on the 23rd August 1944 altered the relationships between the two armies: Romanian and German. Consequently, as enemies of Romanian soldiers, the German prisoners have been gathered in concentration camps. The phenomena of escaping (successful or not) were undeniable and it has occurred during the concentration camp life or the transportation. The author marks, within documents of the epoch, some cases of escape, revealing the attitude of Romanian authorities and of the Soviet commandment towards. The work ends with a table gathering the names of 120 escaped people, notifying the elements of identification (date and place of birth, the military unit, and degree, from where and when he escaped).
