Abstract: The aim of this article is to present a brief description of the evolution of the concept of political participation from Aristotle to present time. I refer also to Machiavelli’s, Mill’s, and Rousseau’s notions of civic political participation. The structure of evolution of the concept is that presented by de Jane Mansbridge in “Does Participation Make Better Citizens?”(1995), paper delivered at the PEGS Conference, February 11-12, 1995. | |||||||
