    STUDIA PHILOSOPHIA - Issue no. 2 / 2006

Article:   LA CRITIQUE NIETZSCHEENNE DE LA DEMOCRATIE.

Authors:  ARNAUD FRANÇOIS.

Abstract:  The paper critically assesses Nietzsche’s position on "democracy". It concludes that Nietzsche’s criticism of democracy is based on a certain concept of life, conceived as will to power (conquer and hierarchy), whereas the notion of democracy designates a historically established regime based on the principles of equality in rights and pitty.
