  Abstract:  Dans le panorama actuel des études saussuriennes, ce volume édité en 2010 à Genève sous un titre qui valorise la dimension heuristique de l’œuvre saussurienne est motivé par une double conviction de ses éditeurs : malgré sa célébrité, cette œuvre est au fond « peu ou mal comprise », tout comme sa « dimen-sion révolutionnaire » (p. 7), rarement relevée, largement ignorée. Cet ouvrage est caractérisé comme « un reflet indirect et partiel » des travaux du colloque Révolu-tions saussuriennes, qui s’est tenu à l’Université de Genève en 2007, les chapitres et la conclusion étant des versions remaniées et complétées de seize contributions présentées à ce colloque.
