  Abstract:  Tributaire de la théorie diderotienne du paradoxe chez le comédien, attentif aux détails intimes et essentiels d’un spectacle théâtral, l’essai de Mircea Morariu propose une re-lecture du concept de pragmatique de la réception du texte de théâtre. L’auteur réussit à mettre en lumière une conception tant véhiculée dans le monde actuel du spectacle qui voit le théâtre comme un art du code, de la convention (définition qui trouve sa source dans les recherches de Richard Demarcy), un code qui exige de la part du spectateur un déchiffrement. Ce décodage si nécessaire se construit en fonction de deux coordonnées de la communication dramaturgique: le texte et la représentation.
