  Abstract:   The words of advertising: creative usage of the modern French language in advertising. This paper presents a study of the creative aspects of French advertising language and aims at exploring the puns and lexical inventions used as the main linguistic communication strategy. Its purpose is to show the linguistic and cultural relevance of advertising through quoted and commented examples.
