  Abstract:  Walter Benjamin: Articularea istorică şi masca mortuară a modernităţii. Studiul de faţă face parte dintr-o lucrare mai amplă dedicată problemei legitimării în modernitatea târzie. Paginile de mai jos discută relaţia dintre modernitate şi modernitatea târzie, punând accentul în special pe principiul constitutiv al articulării istorice, aşa cum poate fi el decelat în textul lui Walter Benjamin, "Teze privind filozofia istoriei". Articularea istorică este considerată un punct de convergenţă între confuguraţia epocală a modernităţii (ca "epocă modernă") şi emergenţa - înăuntrul acestui conţinut epocal - a unei "logici" istoriale, mereu preocupată de propria-I istoricitate.
